to be offered for sale by Public Auction, as opposed to the more common
method of Private Treaty.
A sale by Public Auction has recognised advantages which are difficult to
ignore. The maximum price can be seen to be realised through competitive
bidding, and there is a great certainty that a sale will be achieved on
the auction day. On the fall of the hammer there is an immediate binding
contract.
